Speakers: Logitech Z-2300 will have to scour around to find a new set of these probably ebay or the like. I wasn't going to settle for the shitty new replacement Logitech Z623 that cant compete with the 2300's at all.


Case will be the Silverstone Raven 3 when it releases later next week. I chose that case for its looks and the 90 degree mount idea. For the power supply i chose that particular rosewill PSU to allow myself to sli another 570 2yrs down the road and because it will be compatible with the new case unlike corsair otherwise i would have gone with the 850tx. + i like the blue LED rosewill provides =) Here is a list of the PSU brands that will and wont work with RV03

That leaves me with a choice of a keyboard. I want something under $100 that doesn't have a whole set of keys on the left panel like the G series keyboards from Logitech that have that G1-G12 key panel i would always mistakenly hit them instead nor would i ever use them even though im an MMO gamer my binds with ctrl, alt, and shift are plenty. An LED backlight is a plus and it absolutely must be able to register 3 keys at once ie: W, Shift, Space in an FPS scene for example.

Have you checked out some benchmarks for sli/crossfire setups. Toms' recently did an article on how a cheaper pair of 6950's can take down 2 570s in sli. In fact, 2 6950 scaled better than 3 570's, take a look, might be better for your pockets:

If i were you, drop ram to 4gb as it is sufficient for gaming. And get 2 6950, or one now if you prefer.

I think keyboard/mouse choice is person to what style you like. I personal picked a hp elite just because i like the laptop style buttons, but Im sure most modern keyboards can pick up 3 keys at once.

I do not wish to have all those extra keys on the far left that the logitech g series all have i stated that in my OP. My parents computer i recently built with a G110 keyboard is very annoying to play on as its wider and has those extra keys i hit all the time on accident when typing fast. As for the 6950s i can get a 6950 for $300 thats a twin frozr iii so $60 cheaper but i hate the drivers and how slow they release them. The parents pc has a 6970 in it right now and the drivers are clunky in some games. I like the Nvidia boat a little bit better. Maybe that will change with 28nm chips.

I'm fairly certain though that only gaming certified keyboards support picking up 3 keys simultaneously

I'd say go to a computer shop first and see what you can get your hands on and get a feel for it. Then check the price on newegg because its usually cheaper. As far as the 3 keys at a time, im not sure about where you can check for that. I know i can do it on mine and mines not considered a gaming keyboard at all. If its not listed in specs you might have to google it or email the companies customer support to find out.

If your hitting the extra keys on the side of the keyboard when your typing, you must be a pretty innacurate typer.

HD6970 drivers are clunky in games? LOL

Funny out of all the reviews I've read I've not hear any mention of "clunky" drivers. And AMD is slow to release drivers? WHAT? Nvidia hasn't released a driver since January 25th for your information, and the one before that burned up cards by causing them to overheat. Not to mention 6 months ago Nvidia released another driver that burned up cards by causing them to overheat.

If there were any drivers I would stay away from right now, it would be Nvidia drivers. I've been running ATI drivers for 5yrs straight and I've never had any problem.

The other guy is right, two 6950's did blow away two 570's. Same with 3way. Plus they are cheaper to boot and use less power.

No actually going from a normal keyboard to a Logitech G keyboard throws you off when you need to hit left shift or ctrl... plus i dont like how it adds almost a full 3 inches in width cause of the extra keys that i have no use for
