I'm looking for a third HDD to put in my PC, with a decent capacity like 500-600+~ while also trying to be as cheap as possible. I'll be using it to expand my ever increasing Steam library, which with the recent Summer Sale, is probably going to be too big on that disk to co-exist with the other purpose, which is storing Fraps recordings on.

I don't know much in the way of HDDs with brand reliability, nomenclature etc, other than I know I won't go below 7200RPM.

Currently I have a 256GB 840 Pro as main, with OS and a couple games and some programs etc.
And a 640GB secondary with 300+ of Steam, and about 20-30 of random bits and bobs.

Any recommendations for reliable, but cheap drives?
Additionally, is a 6Gb/s drive worth it over a 3Gb/s drive for games' loading times? I won't be accessing much important stuff on their, literally just a third Steam library.

Honestly you wont notice a difference 3gb/s vs 6gb/s however 6gb/s are more reliable since they are newer so id choose them.
