New Soundcard now i cant use PCIE slot1

Hello,

today i got my Soundcard. And i had to remove my Graphic card from slot 1 to slot 2 because there was no space under the graphic card (SEE).

Now my question is if the graphiccard still runs in x16 because in the manual of the mobo it is not written what it runs with single card

(SEE). In the Manual they recommend the slot 1, but i have no worse perfomance since i put my card in the slot (SEE)2

My Mobo: M5A97 R2.0
My Graphic card: GTX 670
Soundcard Asus Xonar DGX

From your motherboard specification page:

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)

It runs on a x4 lane, which means the card performance is going to be throttled.

like i am understanding it for single VGA/PCIe card its x16 in slot 2, too. In the manual they say "N/A". how can i test it if its throttled? You saw my picture? there is really no space for my sound card and graphic card. do i have to buy now a new mobo? any solutions?

Another solution if there wasn't another PCIe available would be a USB sound card .
