So I recently purchased a new 120gb ssd to be a boot drive in my system. I got my Hdd space down to 100gb then used easeus to clone it(with windows 10) over to the ssd. However, when I go to my bios and select the ssd as my boot device, I get a screen telling me to "select a proper boot device". The only way I can boot my pc from the ssd is to select the windows boot manager version. If I let my pc start normally, it still boots off the Hdd. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be much appreciated!

Solution
1) Sounds like it is a uEFI boot not a legacy boot so setting the SSD as the boot drive won't work in that way. That is the old Legacy.
2) Remove the old drive and see if it will boot with only the SSD. if it does I would wipe your old HDD. Depending on your PC a lot of them these days support hot swapping. in otherwords you can plug your HDD in AFTER the system is booted. This way you can then wipe it after booting from the SSD
