Hi

I want to upgrade to a SSD for gaming but I'm having some compatibility issues with my motherboard. This is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ct3Pb8 and this is the SSD I was thinking of adding: https://www.ple.com.au/Products/636634/Corsair-Force-MP600-2TB-Gen4-PCIe-NVMe-M2-SSD.

When I add the SSD to the partpicker build this comes up; The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.

What exactly does this mean and what do I do about it? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Solution
It simply means that one of the SATA III ports on the motherboard is disabled.

---------------------
https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z370 Killer SLIac/index.asp#Specification
If M2_1 is occupied by a SATA-type M.2 device, SATA_5 will be disabled.
If M2_2 is occupied by a SATA-type M.2 device, SATA_0 will be disabled.
---------------------

Since you're not using a SATA M.2 drive, this is not an issue.
But if you were...all you need do is not use either the SATA_5 or SATA _0, which ever is applicable.
