Hi

I just bought a new SSD (Samsung Evo 840) and I am trying to install Windows 7 on it. So I switch on my PC let it boot the Bios and then it gives me 'Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter'. At that point I put in my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (Original) Disk. And I press enter and it gives me the same message. I have tried it with two different copies of original windows 7 with no luck. I have checked my Bios and both my cd/DVD rom and my SSD are being recognised.

I have read some posts and from what I gather the Bios config could be the problem. Could someone let me know the correct settings.

Also which Sata ports should my SSD and my Rom be connected to on my Gigabyte motherboard.

Thanks

so the boot sequence is dvd-rom first......../???????????????? ssd second.......... or didn't you change that yet? and di you disable seek for floppy and take the floppy out of sequence altogether ( disable )

also, when the HD was connected......... did you try different sata ports or different cables?
