I recently purchased and installed a SSD with windows 8.1 and made it my C drive. I have attempted to redirect my downloads to my D drive through changing the default route in google chrome settings, and by moving the target files of my user files. Neither has successfully made my downloads bypass the SSD. Hoping someone knows a solution to this!

In your torrent client, did you change the default location?
USAFRet and Ronintexas: I tried both of your suggestions. I selected the downloads folder on the D drive through the advanced settings of google chrome to send my torrent files to the old hard drive, but it still goes to downloads on the ssd. Then i went into the properties of documents, pictures, videos, music, and downloads and went to location, clicked "move" and selected the downloads folder on the D drive as well to send anything that might end up there on the ssd download folder, to the D drive download folder. But neither seemed to work.

I downloaded a torrent to test, and checked the storage space before and after downloading the file. Then when I noticed it went to the SSD and not the HDD, i went to the downloads folder on the SSD and it was there.
