Question New SSD failed to initialize??

I baught a new WD green 240gb ssd, it seemed to be working fine, I used a software to do a system clone. Mid way is crashed and said something about bad sectors.

I can see the ssd in device manager but it says I have to initialize the disk, when I do so, I get a n error saying "The request failed due to fatal device hardware error."

I tried everything, nothing seems to work.

In device status it says the device is working properly, but under volumes, it is 0MB capacity, 0MB unallocated space, 0MB reserved space.

Please help!!

Sounds like a faulty drive.
Send it back.

And preferably, for a refund and buy something else. I've heard no good things about those WD Greens.

Install WD SSD Dashboard and perform Secure Erase.

It does not see the ssd, its plugged in via usb now.

Connect it normally - with sata cables.

Just return it and get the Blue for a few dollars more. WD should just stop making the green
