So I finally got my SSD (Samsung 840 250G). It hasn't arrived yet. But I wonder: I already removed all important files from the HDD (Seagate 1T). I got the bare SSD drive and I understand it is better to install everything from scratch so I will do that. How do I remove the OS from the HDD to leave it as storage? I am not a expert and I want to do it as simple as posible. I will instal Win7 64.

Thanks in advance, for any help.

Remove the HDD from the system before installing Windows 7 on the SSD. The simple solution is to reformat the drive since you have already moved the important files to another drive. You can do this by putting the HDD back into the system after you have installed Windows 7 and made sure it is running properly. Don't forget to visit the motherboard manufacturer's site to download the drivers you will need after doing a clean install of Windows. A better solution might be to connect the HDD as an external drive and then format it before putting it back into your computer.

Could be OEM...
OEM products typically just come with a plastic bag.
