Basically, I have a HDD with all my stuff on including ofcourse the OS, but I want an SSD for my OS and a few games.

I want to wipe the HDD clean from everything including the OS so i can use my SSD as the new main drive, afterwards, plugging my HDD back in.

How do i go about this?

Solution
OK then. 2 options:

1. Clean install of the OS (and all applications) on the new SSD
or
2. Migrate from old drive to new drive. This requires that you get the current used space to below 400GB or so. A lot of your space may be taken up with music/video/etc, so this may be easy.

2 initial questions:
What size/make/model is the SSD?
How large is the current used space on the C drive?

Further questions:
Do you have the OS install media?
Do you have the license key?
How old is the install?
Does it currently work to your satisfaction?

Sorry for the late reply!

To your questions...

What size/make/model is the SSD? Samsung 850 at probably around 500 GB
How large is the current used space on the C drive? Around 800GB
Do you have the OS install media? Yes, I have the product key and disk
Do you have the license key? Yes for my OS
How old is the install? Around mid 2014 (not 100% sure)
Does it currently work to your satisfaction? The HDD? Yes, but i want faster load times for some games and OS.
