I have a PC running a Dual Boot system (Windows 7 and Windows 10) I just installed another empty SSD into the machine and it's not being detected in the BIOS window nor in the Disk Manager of either Windows 7 or 10.

The SATA III 6 port I plugged into is labeled "SSD Cashing" but it should be fine to use without that feature... correct?

Any suggestions on making he SSD visible in BIOS and Disk Manager?
Thank You

I would try using another sata port on the mobo yes it should work for data transfer instead of just caching however some mobos have a issue with telling the difference and just won't accept a ssd/hdd in these ports sometimes a bios update helps but always

This is my last available SATA port… any way to correct the MOBO setting for a SSD Caching port if this turns out to be the problem?

Like I said the only way I know of that has fixed the issue in the past is a bios update. If a bios update isn't the solution, if you have a dvd/Blu ray player plugged into the mobo sata plug that in to the sata 6 port and plug the ssd into the normal sata port
