New SSD; keeping old HDD for file transfer.

Posting this because I have a unique problem.

I don't want to clone my HDD to an SSD. I don't want to keep my old HDD for programs ect.

I am currently using a 2TB HDD with Windows 10 installed, and I am buying a new 2TB HDD to replace it, as well as a 500GB SSD. I plan on installing Windows 10 on the SSD, and using the new HDD for storage.

I would like to know if I could still access my current 2TB HDD when I install the new SSD and HDD so that I can transfer a small amount of important files (too large to upload to a cloud). This is all I want to do with it, believe me.

yes, you can connect up the 2 HDD's and the SSD at the same time so you can transfer all the info you want from your old 2TB HDD to the new one. after you are done with your old HDD you can take it out

it is recommended to only have the SSD drive connected when you install windows
