So i got the samsung 850 EVO SSD and added it to my machine, did a fresh install and i am running windows off the SSD aswell as a few games I play regularly.

Beforehand I could play CS:GO with 300 fps. Now after installing the SSD and running the game off the SSD my fps barely reaches 100. Surely something is wrong?

I have updated graphics drivers, SSD drivers and done a fresh install of the game on the SSD and on the previous HDD which I was getting 300 fps on. Even on that old HDD that served me well I am not getting the frames I was once getting.

Any suggestions or theories?

yeah i completely understand what you're saying, but the problem occured after installing the SSD.

I have uninstalled my gpu drivers and reinstalled them, didn't fix anything
