New SSD, media player freezing

Right, so I recently bought a Samsung EVO 500gb and I am experiencing stuttering and freezing, when watching movies.
My movies and the media player(mpc-hc) is on my old HDD, while my OS is on the SSD.
Should I install the media player on the SSD?
Also, the movie files have been on the HDD, before I got the SSD, can this be a problem?
Or is it more likely that the files are corrupted, somehow?

edit: everything returns to normal, when I pause and unpause again

Yes. It also started happening to YouTube videos now. Same as before. Sound is ok, but video is tearing up or even freezing.

Did you install all the motherbd chipset drivers, then GPU drivers, then the rest of your motherbd drivers?

Well no. Didn't know I had to do that, if I just got a new disk. Thanks.

I installed the drivers. Nothing changed. Another thing I noticed is that it doesn't happen at all, if I keep moving my mouse. Maybe it's like a weird monitor going to sleep bug?
