Hello i plugged new SSD ( not with OS or anything on it just as extra space) to the mobo, tried both SATA 2 and SATA 3 but i cant see it in either bios or windows. Bios is set to AHCI.

MOBO: DH67CL

Its a bit older mobo but i was told i will only be limited by speed but it still should run faster than HDD.

SSD: 500gb Samsung 850 evo

Maybe stupid question but do i need to install drivers for SSD prior to installing it to mobo??

Thank you for help

Greetings, would recommend you updating your SATA-drivers.
These SATA stuff can be a bit dodgy, you kind of have to mess around.
Have you tried to start your computer without your HDD plugged in, to see if your PC notices the SSD at all?

You need to go to the manufactorer site to find the necessary driver:

Have you tried to open disk management, to see if you can find it there?
