Hey guys,

So i just bought a new SSD and installed it in my laptop, my question is how do i make the ssd the boot drive and how do i clean install the windows on it, i tried searching online but most say that you have to remove the hdd and then insert it later, can i do that on my laptop?

Thanks a lot in advance for the help!

You need to have the new SSD installed first. The next step is to have the Windows installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, etc.) in hand. You will then boot into the installation media to start the installer. After the installation is complete, change the boot order to the new SSD drive as priority.

The boot order can be set in the BIOS if you didn't know beforehand.

Thanks for the info guys, just another question on the bios boot settings it doesn’t let me choose with which drive i want to boot, and second i would like to combine both my ssd and my hdd, do i need to remove the hdd and install windows just the ssd? And i want to make sure i dont destroy the laptop, so i wanted to make sure if i could actually remove the hdd from the laptop, because in some laptops you cant unless you actually dismante the whole laptop (and i would like to avoid that)

The other poster is correct. You should remove or disconnect the HDD when installing Windows on the SSD. I didn't realize you were planning to use two hard drives in one laptop. You should be able to remove it without issue. I don't know if this is exactly like your model:
