New SSD to install for failed HDD

I have an HP AMD A10, 15 model and my HDD failed. It boots to a white and silver screen. I put a different HDD in it from an existing laptop and it booted right up. I'm going to get a Samsung SSD and don't know how to reinstall windows 7 with the product key on the back of the laptop.

Win OSes that are on laptops are usually OEM versions. Meaning that once the license key of OEM Win is used, you can't re-use it. While you can re-install Win 7 to your SSD, without license key, you can't activate your Win.

Here, your best bet is buying Win 10 with a new license key. As far as installing Win 10, Micro$oft added USB installation.
