Hey peeps ... I need help today I brought a new ssd a SanDisk ultra II now trying to install Windows on the ssd and it says I cannot install to disk 0 partition 1 ... All it say is make sure your disk controller is enabled in Tue bios ..... Help

Solution
Format it and see what happens.

Unless it is defective, it should just work the same as a hard drive.

It might also help you resolve this if you put the hard drive back in so that you can boot from it while you try to figure this out. Its really hard to see what is going on when you cannot look at things from Windows.
Open Disk Management. Delete all partitions from the SSD. Then all the way over to the left side in the lower portion of the screen, right click, and you should see a Convert to GPT disk. Click on that.

It should then let you install Windows on that SSD.
