Question New SSD works and runs fine, but isn't being shown in the bios as an NVMe or M.2 device?

This might be nitpicky, but when you spend 300$ on a drive alone I want to make sure it's running optimally. So last week I built this pc with a Samsung 980 pro m.2 nvme. It shows up in the Asus-z690e bios as an ssd, works and boots fine, but I'm just wondering why it's not showing up as an nvme or m.2 device and if that means it's losing out on performance. Or am I just being dumb and should leave well enough alone?

use samsung tool to run performance test on it?
