New system after laptop died

Hey guys I'm new to this forum. Ive been using a laptop for a couple of years now and it just died on me. I've been wanting to go back to a desktop. But I haven't been savy on whats good and whats bad nowadays. Wondering if I can turn to you guys for some help. My budget is around 700 dollars and I mainly use my computer for downloading movies, entertainment, and playing games here and there. A solid build that I won't have to upgrade would be nice. I was thinking of an i5

whats a good mother board for this and ram.
I want a good graphic card I won't need to upgrade for awhile to keep up with the new games that come out.
I was also thinking of a SSD along with a hard drive

You would need more than $700, I'm afraid.

If you're getting an unlocked CPU, that 2500k is already a generation behind and is set to become obsolete. The latest Intel CPU line is only $10 away, it's definitely worth it. That said, you can probably save a few bucks if you get a locked CPU instead.

The 7850 is a good card, it could get you up to high settings on most games @ 1080p.
I won't personally go below this anymore.

If you're just playing games here and there you can bump the video card in the build about to like a 7750 and save about $100 and get an I5 instead if you think you are going to want more raw processing power than GPU power.
