Greetings,
Its way past my bedtime so Im gonna keep it short...
I just bought a new barebones system (asus a7v/duron 600) and installed some second hand hardware and cant go more than 5 minutes without locking up. I suspect the memory (IBM pc100) as it starts to POST, I go into cmos to configure my hd and then the thing freezes up. I tried lowering the voltage to the memory and it froze almost immediately, then I raised it and it ran for maybe 5-7 minutes (longest). Any ideas???

There are many reasons for such a thing. Maybe it is not the RAM?

Morgan 1.6Ghz + 256DDR SDRAM = Dream on
However dreams are approacable

Turns out that it probably was a bad stick, I just bought a generic 64meg pc133 and it seems to run fine. Thanks....
