Hi all,

First post. First PC build. All works perfectly until I add second ram stick get BSOD every time.

System:

Corsair 5000D Airflow Case
Corsair RMX Series, RM850x, 850 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply
MSI MPG X570S Carbon MAX WiFi
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 (installed slot 2 and 4)
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler with three ML120 pro fans running off included iCue commander core
Inland Performance 2TB SSD PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe 4 x4 M.2
MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC (Reused from existing PC) - trying to find deal on better card
3 x Corsair ML120 PRO 120mm Premium Magnetic Levitation RGB LED PWM Fans running off same icue commander core as the three cooler fans

Initially started with all above except had:
MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS Motherboard
TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 3600MHz (PC4-28800) CL18

First build all perfect with one of the Teamgroup sticks (in slot 2), but BSOD with two installed (slot 2 and 4). Clean install of Win10, update Win 10 updates, update MB bios, update all drivers. both sticks work fine in slot 2, but BSOD with 2 sticks in 2/4, and in 1/3 slots.

Replaced ram with brand New CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 (installed slot 2 and 4). Same results - Clean install of Win10, Update win 10, update MB bios, update all drivers. Both sticks work fine in slot 2, but BSOD with 2 sticks in 2/4, and in 1/3 slots. Update to Win 11, same results.

Replaced MB with brand new MSI MPG X570S Carbon MAX WiFi MB, and still using Coarsair RAM. Same result - BSOD in slot 2 and 4, but both chips fine alone in slot 2. Format SSD and clean install Win10. still get BSOD with 2 chips. update all drivers and bios and Win10 updates - same result - 2 chips = BSOD. either chip fine in slot 2.

With both MBs I have tried XMP on and off, increasing ram voltage (started 1.2 v, increased slowly to 1.25, 1.3, 1.35, 1.4 and no resolution). Tried lowering ram speed to 2133, 2400, 2600, 2800, 3000, 3200, 3600 fixed all paired with different above voltages, no luck.

I am at my wits end. Since I see same behavior with two different sets of rams chips, and with two separate MBs, and with clean install of Win10, I am thinking its not software/driver related, not the ram and not the MB. That only leaves the Processor and the graphics card.

I plan to get another brand new processor and RMA the one I have. Am I on the right track? any other ideas? or am I missing something? Could this all be related to graphics card? I don't have another one handy to try a different card.

Any advice greatly appreciated. thanks.
