I've had an i7 6700k/32gigs/2080 since early 2016.
New build:
(CPU) Ryzen 3900XT
(MOBO) MSI Meg Ace x570
(MEM) 4x16 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200/CL16
(PSU) CORSAIR RMx Series RM850x
(GPU) Re-used Zotac 2080 (can't find any 3080's lulz)
(CPU Cooler) Noctua NH-U12A - Used the stock thermal paste that came w/ the NOCTUA FAN.
(STORAGE) - Dual 1TB Samsung Evo 970 Plus, these are gen3.
(CASE) - Fractal Design Meshify C MidTower
----- I wanted to save money by not buying gen4 M2 2280's, but, it'll be quick for now, will upgrade to gen4 M2 2280's in 2021.
2 Questions:
Will this system be ready (plug and play w/ the Ryzen 5xxx ZEN 3 line?)
The red number indicator on the X570 MEG ACE mobo constantly rotates between 39-65 (depending on what kind of tasks are going on).
Do the 3900XT's have a lot of temperature rotation?
How many of you use GEN3 M2 NVME's in gen4 capable mobos?
I get the feeling quite a few do it, primarily because of cost/performance trade offs.
