So I'm looking to build a new system which will be used to rendering and video editing, maybe a little gaming, I was just wondering if this is an alright build and if there's anything that should be changed.

CPU: i7 4970k w/ Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo
Mobo: Mod 1150 ASUS Z97-A ATX
RAM: Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz
Storage: A 750gb HDD from my old pc (this is temporary) and a Samsung 2.5-Inch 250 GB 850 EVO Solid State Drive
Graphics: MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 Gaming Twin Frozr
Case: HAF 922
PSU: TX650 (From my old system, also temporary)

Just wondering if there's anything I'm missing or not thinking of, I'm using an old optical drive too

Thanks a bunch!

This is a good build and wil handle both editing and rendering videos as well as games pretty well. I specially like the choice of RAM. but I would suggest to add some more storage space coz 750 GB will be filled in no time if you are doing a lot of Video editing and rendering. I would suggest at 2x1TB HDDs for storage. This will give you enough space to keep back up in one HDD and rendered output files in the other one. 1x2TB will also do. but 2x1TB will be good for a back up storage.
