new system, comments please

ok, im building a new computer cause i got a new job and that means i have to waste money. heres the mobo im thinking of getting <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-130-457&depa=0&manufactory=BROWSE" target="_new"> the the msi K8N Neo Platinum. </A> the cpu im gonna use is the amd 64 3000. ram ill be using 512 megs of crucial 2700 from my old system, soon i will upgrade to 1 gig of 3200. then a little later down the line i plan to get two 36 gig raptors and stripe them for my system drive. can any one recomend a better board? mainly i chose this board cause it had the 250gb chipset.

Sorry I forgot if you hate Asus. I will be building soon as well, and plan on using the Asus K8N-E Deluxe board.

what is better about the asus board? the msi board has a gigabit network controler that is independant of the pci bus, it also has the built in nvidia firewall, kindof useless but it could come in handy one day. i didnt see if that board had it, i read on anandtech that only a small handfull of boards had that nic, i dont remember seeing asus as one of them.
