I bought a pc system built by pc case gear..

i play battlefield 4 and after a while of playing it would eventually freeze and nothing worked.. also the mouse and keyboard lights went off.. tried unpluging and plugging back in.. still couldnt do anything so i had to hard reset..

this happened a fair bit.

anyway i got warranty and shipped it back to them and they said it was my GPU (msi gtx 1080 )

they replaced it with a new GPU and shipped it back to me

i get it back and after gaming all day it freezes again, while in battlefield 4. Nothing works.. although this time the mouse and keyboard lights stayed on, i still could not do anything and i had to hard reset..

anyone know what this could be?

specs:

Nvidia geforce gtx 1080
intel i7-6700k 4.0ghz
windows 10

MSI Z170A Krait Gaming 3X Motherboard

Solution
PC Case Gear will blame anything other than their computer, when it freezes you still have a image on the monitor right? if so then it's in the rig. How are temps (mobo/CPU/GPU)? Have the latest BIOS and mobo/GPU drivers? Do you have a different PSU you could test with?

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

The previous system shutdown at 10:11:48 PM on ‎29/‎07/‎2016 was unexpected.

after gaming it didnt sound like my comp was cooling down either. usually after exiting the fans slow down, but they just stayed on max.

also i was trying to click things in the task bar and i couldnt it was not letting me for like 10 minutes then it flashed like it was thinking for a long time and i finaly could

yeah theres still an image on the monitor.. everything is frozen and there is no sound. just quiet frozeness.
the gpu gets to around 60-65 degrees Celcius while playing im pretty sure. all other temps are low. No i dont have another psu to test with.

They supposedly did extensive testing on the whole system before they sent it back so thats why they assume its the monitor.
monitor is an acer predetor XB27HU
