I jut put together a new system like 2 weeks ago, everything is new, however ive been having some issues with the gfx card, at the beginning i had green dots on the screen (at all times) but after cleaning the pci slot that got corrected (i used a different gfx before the 1080 arrived, when it arrived i performed a clean win10 install and downloaded all the drivers i needed). Anyways after that i got a quick error on r6 siege where the border of a cloud formation had green dots for a short period, i decided it was time to update the bios not just because of that but because deus ex mankind divided was getting stuck on the loading screens but i waited before updating a few days because i couldnt find the update utility on the bios and i was kinda busy (i dont remember exactly but i probably had 1 black screen before the update) after i updated, the system kinda started to run more stable as the dots never came back and i was being able to load deus ex properly but... i started to get momentary black screens on games like for honor and r6 siege, i havent noticed this happening on other games as i dont really play a lot of other games.
The screens never last more than 1-1.5 seconds, they mostly happen in for honor and i have had a frame rate loss while playing it once, the screen went black and back around 3-4 row 2 days ago, but i think the power cable of the monitor was off because i was messing around with an led strip tha could have moved the cable however i couldnt replicate that happenin, thats why i include it, i dont think its the game either as i had some other issues with the new system such as not being able to use the actual speed of my ram without making the system run unstable and rather low frame rates for the gpu i have on some games running at 720p.

My specs:

CPU: Ryzen 2700x

MOBO: Asus Prime x470-Pro

GFX: EVGA GTX 1080 Superclocked

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 16gb 3000mhz (2x8gb)

PSU: EVGA 650w

Case: Corsair Spec Alpha ATX (it has 3 120mm fans i think)

Temperatures during benchmarks:

The division High Settings 720p: 62c

R6 Siege highest (without the texture pack) 1080p: 66c

For honor Extreme Settings 720p: 68c

could the black screens occur due to high temps? during long play sessions im pretty sure that it can go higher specially in for honor and siege

I would like some help to find out whats happening, if i should use the warranty of any of my products that could be possibly failing or if there is something i can do to fix the current issues.

Reinstall the latest graphics drivers. If it doesn't fix it, get MSI Afterburner and underclock 50-core and 100-memory while maxing power limit. If, not fixed, increase voltage too. Sometimes the factory OC is too high.

Also, make sure your GPU was seated correctly and the power connectors are not faulty. You could try another PCI too.

As for temps, you're good up to 85c.

ok, i will be trying this and updating on any changes, is there any problem if instead of msi i use precision oc from evga?

i took some time to answer this until i was sure of what the issue was and i think its either the hdmi cable or the screen, today i was recording some stuff to test things out in titanfall 2, trying to catch possible gpu errors on video and i actually got at least 3 black screens in spaces of around 1 second each after that the green dots came back but after checking the recordings neither the black screens or the dots are on the video, is this a sign that the gpu is fine and the faulty thing might be the cable?
