New System not displaying video

Ok so I built a new system and the monitor is not recognizing the signal.

MB Asus M5A99FX pro r2.0
GPU EVGA GTX 1070
RAM corsair vengeance pro 2x8gb
CPU AMD 8350fx
2 Sata HDD 7200 RPM
Power Seasonic SSR-650RM

i put it together. All fans are running, CPU light is on. System light is on. RAM is confirmed compatible and was just replaced because I thought that was the problem.
I took my old gpu and confirmed that the system still does not display with a confirmed working card.
RAM is confirmed in the right positions.
Asus has confirmed compatibility of all parts.
There is no onboard video.
Asus confirmed bios are up to date.
Power cycled just to be certain it wasn't that.

Any ideas?

Are you using VGA or HDMI? Have you connected either of those cables to every available port in the machine? It may also be the cable itself.

HDMI the monitor works with the old system. There is only one HDMI port

You might have a dead pci-e power cable. re-check the power connections.. also, if you have your old power supply, try that for just a boot up.
