Hello guys,

I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced this before. I was originally running a 670 2GB, i7 3770k and 8GB DDR3 RAM.

Just today, I upgraded to an i7 6700K and 16GB DDR4 RAM. This is prep for a GTX 1080. I am still running my original 670 at the moment. An still running my original Win10 64 OS on SSD which has been transferred over to my new system. And I've just performed a clean Nvidia driver install, still no difference.

I am now completely for some reason unable to run games whatsoever. I was getting 45-70 FPS on Overwatch which is now down to unplayable frames.

This is very strange. I only put this into the graphics card section as I'm not too sure what else it could be. Possibly motherboard drivers?

Any comments appreciated.

Yes I was, about 18 - 23 FPS :/

However yesterday I was playing with the same GPU, an i7 3770K and 8GB DDR3 and getting 45 - 70 frames. as I have been since the Beta and release of the game. I'ts also the same with Tomb Raider that was released in 2014. I completed that the other day achieving 37 - 70 FPS on max setting with Anti-Aliasing turned down to 2x. Upon upgrading today it seems no matter what I try, games or bench marks like heaven it seems to lag on even low settings. So Something's not quite right haha.

ok, I'm suspecting it might be a virus, that whenever you launch a game it starts using up your GPU to mine bitcoin or something like that. To test this Hypothesis out, lower your settings and resolution to the lowest possible go to windowed mode and send me a pic of the GPU usage :)

Ah, an interesting idea.

These are the lowest settings and windowed mode:

Although the frames were higher, the desktop still lagged when tabbed out too.

EDIT: After being in the game for a few minutes frames went down to 35.

Thanks for your time. Oh man, it definitely sucks!

I've got a subscription to MalwareBytes, no luck on the scan. What program did you use to detect it?

Hmm, unfortunately didn't work, I tried running JRT again and it found:

Successfully deleted: C:\Users\Charlie\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\gkojfkhlekighikafcpjkiklfbnlmeio (Folder)

Another one of those suspicious folders.

I've tried restarting and I played about 5 minutes albeit in what ended up being 5 FPS haha, for 5 minutes and every time I alt+tabbed out to check things here where they sat:

It got to the point where alt+tabbing basically froze Windows.

It definitely must be a setting/driver. But what.. It only seems to happen when the GPU is put under stress, as Hearthstone didn't make it lag as it's not a demanding game. Every other game such as Overwatch/Tomb Raider/The Forest lag.
