G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB

  • The system powers on fine.
  • Nothing happens though. No video etc.
  • If I remove RAM to see if the motherboard at least gives beep codes, it does give the beep code for RAM error. So at least that portion of the board works.
  • I have tried a single stick of RAM in every possible combination between the two stick and slots on the motherboard.
  • The CPU fan also does not initialize, which is a concerning thing.
  • The CPU connectors from the power supply are connected fine to MB
I have reseated the CPU, there doesn't appear to be any pin damage.
I have cleared CMOS

CPU fan never spins even when I am getting beep codes for NO RAM, or when the RAM is back in and the PC is silent.

I have multiple GPUs and I have tried a few of them. 1080ti, 980ti etc..
I have also booted without the GPUs in to see if I got video card beep codes, but nothing. The GPUs function fine in another system.

Hi,

Just following up on this as I am having a similar issue with the same motherboard and an i5 13400F install. My PSU is an EVGA G2 850W with an RTX 3080 GPU. Same failure mode - no beep, no video but GPU, motherboard and cooling fan all fire up just fine. The PSU is 7+ years old. Was that your conclusion that the PSU just could not keep up even though it has the necessary wattage?

Thanks for any insight!
