Hello all,

I'm trying to assemble a new build for the last 3 weeks and i just cannot decide. I've build something like that and i really appreciate your comments about it. I have around 1000 dolars budget and probably i'm not gonna oc anything and i wanted it to last 4-5 years. Even tho primarly i'll use it for gaming, i'm going to use some engineering programs also. (matlab, ansys vs)

I'm not sure about motherboard and psu specially.

CPU: INTEL i5 3470 3.2 GHz Core i5 Socket 1155 6MB, 22nm

Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z77-D3H, Z77, DDR3, 2x PCIExp, Socket 1155, CrossFireX & SLI, 2400Mhz

RAM: KINGSTON 8 GB (2X 4GB) DDR3 1600 MHZ RAM CL9 HYPERX
HARD DISK: WESTERN DIGITAL 1 TB SATA III HDD 64MB Caviar Green 6GB/s WD10EZRX

EKRAN KARTI: SAPPHIRE HD7950 3 GB, PCIExp Ekran Kartı, DirectX 11, DDR5, 384 bit, 810/5000 (11196-01-40G)

Case: IN WIN Dragon Slayer GAMING
DVD / Blue-ray:LG 24X DVD-RW Double Layer SATA

PSU: Seasonic M12II-750 80Plus Bronze 750W Single Rail Modüler Güç Kaynağı SEA-M12II-750

So thank you for your help in advance. And sorry about grammatical errors you might find.

Don't get the Kingston RAM. It needs 1.65v to run @ 1600MHz. That much voltage will strain your PC and void the CPU's warranty.

Get the Caviar Blue or Black.
There's not much difference, Black just has a 5-year warranty and is slightly faster.

The PSU is overkill. You only need 550w for a single GPU.
If the 750w is for adding another 7950 in the future, you'll need to upgrade the motherboard choice too.

Hmm, there is a 50 dolar difference between caviar green and black, is it worth it?

I might change rams to CORSAIR 8 GB (2X 4GB) DDR3 1600 MHZ RAM CL9 VENGEANCE though i don't know about rams that much. i was happy with my kingstons so far and they were cheap but frankly, i didn't even know about the voltage needs.

and i can change the motherboard to ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 i guess. other than these 2 motherboard prices seems to go up.

for psu how is OCZ FATAL1TY Series 80PLUS 550W ?

and also, how is G.SKILL RipjawsX 8 GB instead of kingston?

and ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 with a 700-750 watt psu is enough for crossfire? and is there an actual need for crossfiring with hd7950?

and is it worth to change i5 3470 to 3570k? i know nothing about overclocking, but i am willing to learn. and do i need an extra cpu cooler?

Ripjaws is fine, if you can find Ares, that would be better(in terms of convenience).

The only reason to get the 3570K is OC, and if you do, yes you'll need an aftermarket CPU cooler.

Also, OCZ has their good ones and their bad ones. The Fatal1ty series is part of the bad ones. Check the ZT or ZS series of OCZ if you like.
