new tablet and hard drive questions

i bought a new windows 8 tablet and it only has 5gb storage but comes with a 30gb micro sd card how can i make it so i can install apps and other system programs, and could i repeat this to a usb, so what im asking in short is how do i turn other storage in to the main like storage,

Hey mitchmatch. Usually the default storage space used for installing apps is indeed the internal storage of the device, but there's a way to change that. I'd suggest that you take a look at this article here: http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-install-apps-on-sd-card-in-windows-8/
Although this is stated in the article, I want to say it one more time - please remember to backup any important data which you might have on the SD card or the tablet, before you try this solution.

thank you so MUCH, you sir are a hero and just wondering will programs such as java work if not in the default location and on the sd card in a folder called java? and do all normal windows programs work on the tablet?
