New to 4K gaming

I'm looking to start 4K gaming and would like to add a 4K screen to the two hd screens I already have, using the hd screens mostly as utility and for when I'm using my computer for non gaming purposes. I currently have one 970 should I save money and buy another 970 or get one of the 1080s currently on the market.

For 4k a single gtx 1080 will be better than 2 970s.

Yes, your going to want the best single card you can afford.
