New to building a gaming pc

I want to build a gaming PC to play games on steam/disc, like Dragon Age, LoL, or Final Fantasy with 3 display monitors... I have been researching on how to build a computer but it's just the parts that get me confuzzled. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Basically this is my computer and fromm experience I can tell you that I can play anything on ULTRA at 1920x1200.

BF4 : 130fps
Assassin's Creed Black Flag 80 fps
FarCry4 90fps

all of this is done while recording!

I would sugest you spend most of your money on a good gpu and a reliable psu, cpu, ummm I have an i3 and a 980 strix and still get relatively good performance out of most games.

My budget up to $1400

If I'm right, I could be overdoing that $1400 to play those games
