Hi, I overclocked my GPU easily (GTX 660) but I never overclocked my CPU (which is A10-5700 APU from AMD), can someone please help a noob out? lol

This is my complete PC specs (except with a gtx 660 GPU): http://tinyurl.com/csumgor

thanks in advance!

p.s i tried using AMD Overdrive but everytime i overclock it just shows the disclaimer and simply goes back to the original core multiplier, i dont know why it does nothing

i did raise the voltage but not by a lot cuz im afraid it would be too much

i know im suppose to be careful and take my time, but can you actually tell me the steps that i need to do?

Raise the multiplier by 1 and try it, if all is good raise it another notch, once it hits a point where it won't start or BSODs when running add a touch of vCore, say + 0.05 or so and see what happens, if stable take up another notch etc - as you go monitor CPU temps with a utility like CoreTemp

i tried adding both the multiplier and the voltage but when i press apply, a disclaimer shows up (for AMD overdrive) and the multiplier just stays the same! but the voltage keeps the change u made, i really don't understand why that happens, and i also disabled turbo core

really? whats the difference though? shouldn't their program work just as good? and also how do i even access BIOS?

Those software programs are generic, they aren't tailored to a specific mobo, they may change the name but take a look at them if tailored, it would get updated every time there is a BIOS update, and they seldom to never get updated
