Okay, the title says it all and I bought a physical one of the game (DVD game) for pc. I have a friend who wish to borrow my disk to install it on his pc but I'm afraid if i'll get account banned or something. Can I lend my friend my disk? and does my serial key of Diablo 3 only can be used once and tied to my Battle.net account? I really need to know as I don't want him to accidentally copy my serial key and I'll get account banned because of it.
Thank you

Solution
He can use your disks but Serials are a one time use, if he tries to use them it will say Serial already registered and do nothing. Check Amazon for a Copy I picked up both D3 and the Expansion for my Niece last week for $23 each.

Thanks delaro for answering my question in specifically. As you answer, I won't hesitate to lend my friend my disk and worrying having my account being banned for sharing the same serial key lol.
Thank you

You still can't use the disks without buying the new serial anyways so lending the disks is pointless. You're friend is either going to have to buy the disks with the serial anyways or get it off the internet.

Have you bought any Bliz products in the last 15 years? Blizz has included Guest passes for years and anyone can use the system disk to install, you just can play the game without a Clean Serial or Guest pass. Bliz will also offer Discounts at the end of the Guest pass that sometimes makes it worth it to install this way. Or he could just go to Amazon and buy a Clean copy for under $25, Many software retailers bought to many and cant get it off the selves. My copies came from Best Buy and Sold on Ebay and Amazon for less than it would have been to walk into the store.

First off, watch the condescending tone. I pre-ordered diablo III and it didn't come with a guest pass. Now you can easily get guest pass codes or email the code, still no need to swap discs unless said friend has very poor internet.

A guest pass will only get you up to the skeleton king, which is a very small portion of the game. I would call it a demo if anything.

This is true, no Guest pass allows you full access to the Game but they do allow you to install and play for a limited amount of time. The reason it's easier to install using Disks is simply it's faster, Bliz servers can be slow if the Disks are there then just use them and do the Updates which in themselves will take time.
