Hi all and thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not new to using dual monitors in a business/work setting but I am a bit to the home use. My primary concern is that of gaming on it. I realize that unless a game offers a dual-monitor support you can't put it strictly on the secondary monitor but the issue I'm more interested in is when I have a game maximized on the main window and I go to click on a website in the second window the game feels the need to minimize, is there a reason for this and can I change it?

And if their is any way I can have a game maximized in the secondary screen so I can have my taskbar available to me without the dual monitor support option I would love to hear it.

Thanks again.

The easiest way would be to set the game in question to run in windowed mode, but at the resolution of the screen you want it to be on. Then it's full screen, but you can still move it around like a window, and it won't minimize when you use the second screen. Most Source games have console or start-up commands for this, but I'm not sure if the games you're playing do, try looking it up.
