hello,
I'm in need of a new monitor... and I thought I would go with an LCD this time, because I barely have any desk space left, and I have to get rid of this 19" samsung 997df crt.
But anyways, back on topic.. i'm fairyl new to them, but I know a low response time is good. But i'm not really sure about some of the words, like... what is ghosting? well yeah,

I'm usually on the computer atleast 8+ hours aday and I'll need this monitor to
a. surf the net
b. chatt on msn
c. alittle adobe photoshop
d. lots of games, mainly FPS & rpgs
e. watch movies

I know the lcd won't be able to do all of it, especially the movies part. but as long as I don't go blind, or it straining my eyes alot, it's cool.

my price range is roughly 300usd +s&h, but I've chosen and reviewed some of these myself.

1.SAMSUNG 931C High Glossy Black 19" 2ms ( used in this year's WCG )

2.ViewSonic VX922 Black/Silver 19" 2ms ( good reviews )

3.BenQ FP93GX Black 19" 2ms ( used at CPL winter )

Now, i'm still not really sure about ALL the specs in these lcds, like is the contrast ratio good? and how do I know if the monitor will be really bright?

Hopefully you guys can explain to me, and help me choose out one of these monitors, or suggest one

thanks in advance

The vx922's whites and blacks are not the greatest, but it is unparalleled in gaming performance. If you're willing to lose a little from the color representation category, I would go with the vx922.

Ghosting is when the response time is not fast enough to keep up with whatever is going on the monitor and so if you're spinning your character or looking in different directions, you'll get streaks instead of nice, crisp movement/scrolling.
