New to nvidia GPU/older card/driver advice

Greetings all,

I have just picked up a 2nd hand 275 GTX to replace my radeon 3870.

I wondered if the latest driver (280.26?) would offer the best all round performance or whether with this being an older card an earlier driver version might yield better results?

Any thoughts anyone??

Typically the latest drivers (not beta releases) would be the best bet. Although, I've never used that card before, or even so much as heard anything about it, your best bet would be to go to NVIDIA's community forums, look up your card, and read up on recent drivers and see what the user feedback is for its performance. Different people will have different results.

This forum is specifically designated towards driver releases and user feedback. A lot of people seemed to have an issue with the display driver not responding.
