Hi People!
I'm very new to overclocking, and would very much like to overclock my CPU. Just to give background information on my rig, my specs are:
CPU: Intel® Core™i7 Six Core Processor i7-8700k (3.7GHz) 12MB Cache
Motherboard: ASUS® ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING: ATX, LGA1151
GPU: 11GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti
Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
So to begin, I downloaded a software called 'AI Suite 3' which allows me to overclock my CPU details. I looked online it says the overclocking option are in this screen on the application. The issue is, I don't know what any of this means, I just know that by default the 8700k has its speed at 3.7ghz, and that I want to AMP this up for better CPU performance. Secondly, if I manage to find the values to change, what do you think is a safe number to overclock, with consideration to the specs I have posted above? I don't have a clue on whats considered "too high" and of course I don't want to get temperature issues due to overclocking too high.
Your help on this would be much appreciated!
