Hello everyone, as the title says, the overclocking domain is kinda new to me since my old notebook was to weak for this.Got a Lenovo IdeaPad now, model Z50-70, with an i5-4210U processor 1.7-2.4 Mhz (tho in the offer was 1.7-2.7, got me a bit confused about this), 16 GB RAM and a Lacer 5A5 Motherboard.
I would like to know which would be a good overclocking software tool that would work well on my configuration (something like the AMD overdrive tool or Intel Desktop Control Center), wich also monitors the temperatures. Also some advices on when i should use it and what limits are for this would be much apreciated.

There is a way to false overclock (at least what i call it). It's done to force Turbo Boost to be switched on continuously. If you have the energy management thing, switch to high performance and switch to battery life. Then, plug in and charge it until it's full. Switch back to balanced power plan and change back to High performance. Then, your processor should stay @2.4 - 2.5 GHz normally. That's what i do.

okay so you dont need to overclock your processor i5-4210u i had the same problem
what i did is just simple trick to use the whole speed of my processor. (so to avoid lag when im playing 😛)
Lets start: just go to>
right below of you taskbar.
CLICK the battery icon,
and change it to high performance.

2ND method (just incase you didnt understand the 1st instruction)

go to control panel>
hardware and sound>
power option>
and select for high performance.

instead of overcloking this i5-4210
which is not overclockable. base on my research. you will notice that speed really change.
and check the cpu activity it goes up about 2.50 something and , and i really notice when i switch to high performance no lag , when im playing.
hope it helps. it simple but helpful.
