New to Overclocking... what temps are reasonable?

Right now my idle temp for CPU is around 35 and GPU is about 40. I've never overclocked before and don't want to risk damaging anything. Ballpark, at what temps should I start to get worried and stop upping the speed? Also, is there anything I can run to check if my overclock is causing artifacting? (Other than just playing something for a while)

cpu - around 30c-50c <--thats good

GPU - around 40c-70c


u could go with higher clocks speeds
