New to overclocking

Hello. I am interested in overclocking my cpu, and possibly my GPU as well, and I am looking for some advise on what to do or how to do it.
My build is:

Ryzen 1600x
Corsair H60 aio water cooler
Evga 1060 6gb ssc
Gigabyte ab350 gaming motherboard
16gb ddr4 Corsair vengeance 3000mhz ram
I have 2 120mm fans for intake, 1 bottom 240mm for intake
Push/pull on aio with 120mm exhaust in rear, and 3 top exhaust 120mm fans
Thermaltake enthoo pto TG RGB case

My temps in idle for cpu is usually 32c while my gpu is around 40c.
My brother says these temps are low, and as this is my first build, I am still new to some things as fan placement and overclocking.

For someone that's hasn't overclocked before or relatively new to overclocking please read the above link. Your build of choice looks compatible, Fan size and configuration look ok. Not fimiliar with your case and fan mounting locations but a pull / push method is good for cooling.

Sorry I misread the Ram. Your desired temps are achievable for the CPU. I v'e got a similar setup with a 1600x and a H60 cooler. I modified my H60 cooler with 2 fans, one push one pull. I have one pull 120mm intake fan and one 120mm push fan mounted on the top section of a Corsair 300 R case. I'm O'ced to 4Ghz stable with a 1.35 VDDCR cpu voltage and hold low 30c temps in idle.

Well the temps I listed are my ideal, my cpu goes up to 43c load and my gpu sits at 73 load.

My case is by phanteks, not thermaltake lol my bad

Both temps if under load are really good. I wouldn't bother anything. Not bad for either one!

Right, but I’m looking to oc the cpu and possibly the gpu, if I keep it. May upgrade to a 1070ti or 1080 hybrid
