Hey, so I'm new to PC and this forum and I don't know if this is the right place to ask. Anyway, I got a new PC and I want to upgrade the RAM. I looked up the motherboard specs and it says "- Supports DDR3 1800(OC) / 1600(OC) / 1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory". I'm not sure what this means. What is a good RAM choice for my motherboard? I appreciate anyone who can help me out!

Yes but what is your CPU model?
You can see it here under "specification"

Also click on the memory and/or SPD tab to see your current RAM speed.

If you're adding RAM, all sticks will run at the slowest common denominator. So it doesn't pay to buy spendy premium/fast RAM if it's just going to slow down to match your existing stuff.

the amd fx 6300 is an old amd cpu with weak single core performance (reasonable multicore)

its stock perfomance is rougly comparable to the i7 920

However it does work well with high speed ram 1600 or more ghz is recommended

all mobos for the fx 6300 work with ddr3 ram
If you feel confident, i would get a decent cooler and slide some oc settings to the right on your cpu
