New to PC gaming. Need help with choosing components.

I'd like to build my first gaming PC and I need some help with choosing components.

I already have a good idea of what I want but I'm struggling with choosing a graphics card.

Currently, this is what I'm considering:

Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM
RAM: Corsair 16GB
SSD: Corsair Force Series GT 120GB 2.5"

GPU: nVidia GTX 780
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Z
Wireless Card: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n
CD/DVD: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer
Monitor: Asus VE247H 23.6" Monitor (1080p) (Single monitor)

My price range is around £1500 ($2500).

I've put this build together on PC Part Picker and it's exactly £1348 ($2275) so there is a little room to work with.

I would really appreciate recommendations absolutely any component because all I did was find the best rated compatible component for the best price - except for the CPU, GPU and sound card.

SWEET BUILD! If you are willing to spend that much on a graphics card go with the GTX 780 or do a 2 way SLI with to GTX 760 cards. You would need a different motherboard to do 2 way SLI like this one.

If I were in your situation this is the exact build that I would go with. At your price range, the GPU is definitely something you can and should splurge on.

That converts to about £1800 apparently. I think the conversion rate is a bit skewed.

You dont need to do 2 way but if you do 2 way you dont have as many heat problems. Also at the price of that titan I would do 2 way SLI 770's and you would have a BEAST PC! I dont know what games you will play but you would be pushing like 400 FPS on minecraft with a 64 bit texture pack on max settings probably. So there really is no reason for two-way SLI except heat control. Its your choice you may get better performance out of the two-way SLI with the 770's but its up to you. If it was me I would do two-way SLI with the 770's but if you have your heart set on that Titan go for it!

Lets just say you cant go wrong either way. For worries of overheating I would go with two-way SLI but its up to you.

I never had my heart set on the Titan. I couldn't make my mind up. I was going to get one 770, then I thought about a 780, ater that I was considering two 770s but wasn't sure. then the 660 recommendation came up and now my mind is all over the place.

Although I did say my price was £1500 I still haven't decided. It will definitely be a minimum of £1200, though.

Don't do the 660's. If it were me I would go with the GTX 770 on two-way SLI and it will be just as fast as the titan.

I think the build in your original post is great. Only change I would make though is the sound card. You don't need one. Unless you are engineering music with studio monitors, you won't notice the difference. My motherboard's Realtek on board sound is terrific .

Also, I see post about problems with Creative sound cards all the time on here.

I'm actually considering either getting two GTX 770 cards or two/three R9 280x cards. I'd rather stick with nVidia but does anyone think the AMD option would be better? Also, I'm going to drop the sound card and the SSD and probably get some better RAM.
