Question New to PC gaming, need some help...FPS drops after restarting Windows ?

Hello all, new to the PC gaming world. Over the summer, I bought a prebuilt Ibuypower setup from BestBuy. With the exception of the MotherBoard and processor, I pretty much have swapped out everything else.

Current config is:

Ryzen 5 3600 (still have whatever fan IBP put on it)
MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GBx2 3200MHz
PowerColor Red Devil RX 6600 XT
EVGA 700w bronze
Corsair LL120 fans 3 in/1 out.
Lenovo Q24i-1L FreeSync, refresh rate set to max 75Hz
Windows 10
Adrenalin 21.11.3

Issue is: Bought Far Cry 6, got all settings configed and was getting mid to upper 70fps on all ultra settings in benchmark. Go to restart windows, and fps drops to mid 40s. Any insight is welcome. Thank you.

Maybe you we’re running at lower resolution before you restarted, About 40fps about right for that game on ultra at 1080p with that setup.

what about other games? Can you run userbenchmark and post a link to the results?

Will test out a couple of other games later, when I have a few minutes.

Those performance numbers are great! Seems the issue may be limited to Far Cry 6.

updating graphics drivers may help that game.
