Ok so I'm looking to build a gaming rig but I'm a complete noob when it comes to PC components.
Here's a list of what I'm looking at so far for my build.
I'm fairly sure the components all work well together but I still feel like I need a opinion.

CPU: AMD FX 8320 black edition
GPU: XFX R9 280 3GB
MOBO: MSI 970A Krait Edition
RAM: 12GB Corsair Vengence 1600MHz
SSD: Samsung EVO 120 GB
HDD: Western Digital VelociRaptor 600 GB
Operating System: Windows 8.1 pro
Tower: NZXT H440
Power: Shark 750 W ATX

Any help would be great
Critisism is welcome
I really need the help
Thanks

The only Criticisms I see are the 12gb of ram and 600gb hdd. For the ram I assume its 3 4gb sticks? From what I understand 3 channel ram only works on intel builds and dosent usually help that much (not that well versed on specifics). Honestly if you dont aren't doing video editing or running Virtual Machines 8gb tends to be enough (with my current 16gb Ive only saturated 8gb a few times and that was while stress testing.

Secondly the 600gb velociraptor is a little overboard to me. Id say buy a few 1tb wd drives (I've just the other day realized the horror of filling up a 500gb hdd with nothing but games)

Edit: The psu should be replaced with another that has an 80+ rating of bronze or better cheap PSU's can literally kill your PC and you too (in the form of a house fire)

I have to agree with what he says! Plus 8GB of 1600mhz is probably enough even for heavy duty gaming!
Just buy a 1TB HDD make sure it is 7400 rpm tho, as it makes a world of difference for me!

If you're going for the semi-budget AMD setup FX-6300 is well enough even for a R9 290X.
