Hello all,

Finally decided to switch to PC gaming and have the below on order from PC Specialist. I'm wanting to run 4k @ 60fps(+?), will this be able to do that?

I plan to get a decent monitor further down the line, any recommendations on what I should be looking at?

TIA.

In short, yes. A 1080ti will also be capable of running a 4K display at 60hz, but I would go with the rtx just because of it’s added features for the future, as more games add things like ray tracing. You should have no problems, as that is one beast first rig you are getting!(y)

I'm getting a rtx 2080ti, so that should do the job then?

Yep, a 2080ti with 9900k can do 4k 60hz. Running 4k is really tough, but that hardware can do it.

That parts list seems like someone that knows what they are doing aswell.
Yea, I took my time with it and asked around. This is the 3rd attempt at a build pre purchase, so hope it does what I want. I've been told it's better to run 1080p max settings than 4k, is that accurate?

I'm an absolute noob in this field, AIO?
Your cpu cooler. AIO = All In One, a term used for these sealed closed loop water coolers.

Just realising your case only supports AIO’s that use 120mm fans. Ideally for a 9900k you would want something like the H150i Pro which has 3x120mm and is called a 360mm. Now your case says it supports 360mm but then fails to list the H150i. This might be because the case came out before the cooler but I’m not sure.
