Hi! I want to buy my first smartphone. I am very tempted by the LG G4 because it has:
A large screen : 5.5"
FM radio
Good camera
Replaceable batteries, but I have learnt that spare batteries are not available in the UK yet, only USA.

I don't really like the look of it, don't want the leather backed one, prefer plastic, still not convinced, there is something about it....it is not pretty.
My question is: since I want my smartphone to last for years, about 4? ....is the replaceable battery feature really useful?
How long do smartphone batteries last, on average to low use before they are extinct? By average to low use I mean say 1 hour a day phone, 1 hour a day browsing.
Thanks

My experience of smart phones is the batteries have significantly reduced capacity after 2 years. I trade in after 2 years so not an issue but if you want 4 years life without paying someone to change a battery in a sealed phone then yes a replaceable battery is important to you

If you're lucky, a smartphone without a removable battery should last you for some time. But the G4 is a future-proof choice because of all of the expansion you can do later on. I mean, you could even carry around like, five batteries in your bag and swap them later on.
