new to ssd

So I went to Fry's for a new build today. I bought my first ssd but didn't realize it was a msat. The motherboard I bought doesn't support it. It's a samsung 840evo. I just think I'll get an adapter, but do I get msat to sata, msat to pciex?

So question, why? Not being a wise guy, just curious. It was pretty cheap, even if I get an adapter.

lol use the adapter and you'll find out pretty quickly why lol

but all jokes aside. you want the least amount of conflict/problems in a system. adding an adapter interface to a device that doesn't need it simply adds another point of failure which is just unecessary. sata drives work properly with the sata interface. m.2 drives work properly with the m.2 interface.

adding an adapter causes problems, and this is where your data resides. i generally like that problem free when my data is at risk. dont do it! lol

Cool, that's what I figured. Thanks for taking the time. I'm taking it back tomorrow and getting the sandisk extreme pro.
