but all jokes aside. you want the least amount of conflict/problems in a system. adding an adapter interface to a device that doesn't need it simply adds another point of failure which is just unecessary. sata drives work properly with the sata interface. m.2 drives work properly with the m.2 interface.
adding an adapter causes problems, and this is where your data resides. i generally like that problem free when my data is at risk. dont do it! lol
